Duck at Windsor

IMG_0527This duck and it´s mates promenaded on the grass at Windsor racecourse by the river Thames in England when I was there two years ago. I haven´t been able to put a name to this duck . More animal pictures at Camera Critters and Saturday’s Critters and more bird pictures at The BIRD D’Pot  and Wild Bird Wednesday.

Update! Many thanks to Anni, Margaret and Eileen for giving me the name for the bird. It is an egyptian goose and native to Africa and imported to England, the Netherlands and Germany as ornamental birds (as read on Wikipedia). And the place where I saw the birds  was at Windsor racecourse in England so i think this fits as well. Maybe they had escaped from nearby Windsor castle?
