Swans by the Thames

Walking by the river Thames at Windsor racecourse we saw swans and herons. Neither were cooperative to the photographer so these were some of the best I got. Two swans forming a decorative form. In the second photo with the fluffy preening swan the second swan is seen as white forms on the grass as it was hidden by the river bank. They didn’t like us very much as they soon disappered down into the river. More bird pictures on The Bird D’Pot.

Fluffy swan preening itself. Note the neck of the second swan in the grass.

    • Thank you! It was a lovely sight and a classic experience as it was so close to the queen’s castle. If we had walked a little further maybe I would have been able to combine the sight of swans and a castle. But we were hungry so we went to the pub instead. I wish you a good sunday!
